- How it works
- Ubrogepant is a small-molecule antagonist of the calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor. CGRP is a neuropeptide released from trigeminal sensory neurons during migraine attacks, where it promotes vasodilation, neurogenic inflammation, and sensitization of pain pathways. By competitively blocking CGRP receptor activation, ubrogepant interrupts this signaling cascade without producing the vasoconstriction associated with older triptan therapies.

- Indicated for the acute treatment of migraine with or without aura in adults. Not indicated for migraine prevention.
